FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
1
MoveAura offers both insurance-based occupational therapy and private-pay services. Insurance coverage varies by plan and service, and benefits should be verified prior to treatment.
Personal training and medical fitness services are generally private pay and are not billed directly to health insurance.
Some services may be eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement, particularly when exercise or training is related to the treatment or management of a qualifying medical condition. Eligibility varies by plan and may require documentation, such as a Letter of Medical Necessity. Clients should confirm eligibility with their HSA/FSA administrator before purchasing services.
CAN I TRAIN DURING PHYSICAL OR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY?
2
Yes, when appropriate. You don’t necessarily have to wait until rehabilitation is completely finished to begin training.
Training can complement your rehabilitation by addressing overall strength, conditioning, mobility and movement while your therapist continues to address your specific injury or condition. Your program can be modified around your current restrictions and stage of recovery, with medical clearance or coordination with your healthcare team when appropriate.
DO I NEED TO BE A PATIENT TO TRAIN AT MOVEAURA?
3
No. You do not need to be an occupational therapy patient, have a diagnosis or even have an injury to train at MoveAura.
Private training and medical fitness are available to anyone looking to improve strength, movement, performance and long-term wellness.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY AND PERSONAL TRAINING?
4
Occupational therapy is a healthcare service focused on evaluating and treating conditions that affect your ability to function and participate in daily life.
Personal training and medical fitness focus on exercise, strength, conditioning and performance.
At MoveAura, having both allows for a more seamless progression from rehabilitation → recovery → strength → long-term fitness.
